243 Ida are an electro-pop duo from Manchester on a shared mission: to find that sweet spot between electronica and a strong vocal melody, and to create something unique and meaningful that translates into an exciting live show.
From a recent AnalogueTrash Interview, the duo have this to say about themselves:
“We met online in February 2016, bonded over bands like East India Youth, School of Seven Bells and Hot Chip (and a mutual love of wine) and never looked back. We have a really special working relationship, both bringing different things to the table: Lennie has a technical ear for music and an intrinsic understanding of song writing, Emma is keen to experiment and push the boundaries, and obsessed with poetic lyrics. We’ve both encouraged each other to step out of our comfort zones.”
With two EPs already under their belt, the band have made a rapid impression on the live circuit – including an extremely well received early slot at last year’s Foundations Festival.
Indeed – they made such a good impression on both us and the audience that we are thrilled to announce that Lennie and Emma will be returning to Foundations 2019 for a headline slot on the Aatma Stage.
