From jaggy, off-kilter post-punk to icy, delay-soaked post-rock; from beautiful, piano-led modern-classical to glacial, shimmering ambient music: The scope of Neil Milton’s musical output has been anything but narrow.
After a short break spent remixing others, he returns this year with another change of direction, towards his love for harmony-rich, 60s-inspired indie-pop. C86 dreaming of ’68, you might say.
In anticipation of a career-retrospective album coming early in 2019 on both his own Too Many Fireworks label and Valentine Records, Neil presents “A Promising Future Behind Me”: a mixed media installation featuring music from across his back-catalogue, visuals created exclusively for the evening, and a short live performance by the artist.
Now living in Warsaw, Neil Milton is originally from Lanarkshire, y’know, where all the good music comes from. He has been featured on TV, radio, and old and new media alike in both his native Scotland, and his adopted Poland.
